Training tips

Does your dog go crazy whenever you grab the leash?
Try putting the leash on the dog and not going anywhere, or grabbing the leash and not putting it on the dog, drape it over your shoulders and go about your household business, then, when your dog is calm, if you choose, take your dog for a walk.

Does your dog go nuts when someone rings the doorbell/knocks on the door?
Making sure the dog can not see out by the door, (cover window if needed) have the neighborhood kids do the "ding-dong ditch" several times a day (15-20 times) and just ignore the door, and the dog, and continue what you were doing. Eventually the dog will see that nothing happens when the doorbell rings, sort of like when the grandfather clock chimes. Make sure you put a note on the door so visitors don't think you are ignoring them
